Health and Phys Ed Department

Physical education at Frischin our large gymnasium and ample outdoor athletic courts and fieldsis designed both to give students an opportunity for activity during the long academic day and to provide them with much needed exercise. Activities include running, power walking, team sports and aerobic exercise. Students are tested on exercises mandated by the Presidential Physical Fitness Examination.

The Health Curriculum was established to allow our students a free and open environment to learn about and discuss the myriad of health issues that they face today. Among the topics discussed are developing a healthy self image, eating disorders, tobacco, substance abuse, dangers of prescription medications, coping with stress, depression, aspects of adolescent and adult sexuality, AIDS and other STDs.
